Sobre Vueling Airlines
About
Vueling Airlines SA, a subsidiary of International Consolidated Airlines Group, is a Barcelona-based low-cost carrier. It operates scheduled passenger services from bases including Madrid, Seville, Bilbao, and Rome, serving destinations across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. The airline’s fleet comprises Airbus A319, A320, and A321 aircraft, and it offers additional services such as hotel bookings, car rentals, and parking.
Through codeshare agreements with partners like Iberia and British Airways, Vueling enhances its network, providing a wider selection of flights to major cities in Spain, Europe, and the Americas. These partnerships enable passengers to combine Vueling flights with other carriers, offering greater flexibility and convenience.
Baggage Allowance
Vueling Airlines permits each passenger one free under-seat cabin bag with dimensions up to 40x30x20 cm. Additionally, Fly, Fly Grande, Premium customers, those requiring special assistance, or traveling with an infant may carry an overhead cabin bag up to 10 kg and 55x40x20 cm.
Checked luggage is allowed with total dimensions not exceeding 158 cm, including one 25 kg bag for eligible bookings.
Through codeshare agreements, Vueling expands baggage options, allowing special luggage such as snowboard equipment or musical instruments to be added separately within specified limits.
For codeshare flights, hand luggage policies follow the operating airline’s rules, and extra checked baggage must be arranged with partners like Iberia or British Airways at their check-in desks. Adding bags online is recommended for cost savings.
Vueling Club
Vueling Airlines offers the Vueling Club, a frequent flyer programme accessible to all travelers. Members earn Avios through Vueling and Iberia bookings, partner shopping, and Vueling Visa purchases. These Avios provide discounts on future flights and additional services. Saving traveler details enables faster bookings and progression toward Premium membership with each flight.
To receive benefits, members must identify as Vueling Club members when booking. Avios can be used to reduce the cost of Vueling or Iberia-operated flights and cover extras such as baggage and seat selection. Avios remain valid as long as members earn or use them within a three-year period, ensuring ongoing flexibility and value.
In-flight Services
Vueling Airlines offers a variety of in-flight services, including food and beverages available for purchase. Passengers can find the antimicrobial in-flight menu in their seat pockets, featuring a QR code to access and download the online shop catalogue. This ensures a convenient shopping and dining experience at 30,000 feet.
Passengers with allergies should be aware that Vueling does not guarantee an allergen-free environment, as in-flight meals may contain nuts and peanuts. It is essential for these travelers to carry an epinephrine injection and inform the cabin crew upon boarding.
Check-in
The Vueling Airlines check-in counters open at least two hours before departure for Schengen flights and two hours twenty minutes for non-Schengen flights. Check-in closes between forty and seventy-five minutes prior, depending on the destination and airport. Passengers must be at the boarding gate forty minutes before departure, as indicated on their boarding pass.
Online check-in allows passengers to confirm their seats and obtain boarding passes via the website or mobile app up to fifty minutes to and from the Schengen Area before departure, with extended times for certain destinations.
Minors can check in online if specified during booking.
To check in, passengers need their booking code and an allocated seat. Online check-in is recommended to save time and costs.
Onboard Support
Vueling Airlines offers comprehensive onboard support for passengers with reduced mobility, including those using wheelchairs, wearing plaster casts, experiencing mobility challenges, having intellectual disabilities, or needing a companion. Assistance requests can be made during booking or via the website at least 48 hours before departure. On the day of the flight, passengers should arrive 2.5 hours early and inform check-in desks to receive necessary support.
Additionally, Vueling permits pets to travel in approved carriers under specific conditions. Allowed animals include dogs, cats, birds (excluding birds of prey), and turtles or tortoises. Cats and dogs are required to be microchipped and have a veterinary passport. Pets must be booked with Fly Light or Iberia’s Basic fare, remain under the seat in front during the flight, and stay in their carriers until after disembarking. Certain destinations may have extra requirements.
Refund & Cancellation
Vueling Airlines permits flight cancellations based on fare type and booking conditions.
Tickets from Fly, Fly Light bundles, Basic, Optima, and Family fares are generally non-refundable except within two hours of booking, though airport taxes may be refundable.
Passengers with Fly Grande bundle, Flex Pack, trip cancellation insurance, or justified reasons can cancel up to 48 hours before departure, receiving Flight Credit for future use.
In cases of flight cancellations, passengers may choose a full refund within seven days via the original payment method, re-routing to their destination, or travel on a later date, subject to seat availability. Assistance and compensation are available unless cancellations result from extraordinary circumstances, and cancellations must apply to the entire booking.
